Weather-proof your ride! In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to protect your bike from the upcoming cold weather. Learn how to put fenders on, how to be visible in the dark, and more about different kinds of lighting systems available to cyclists. You will also learn about the most suitable tires for your ride, specific to the weather and type of riding you do.

Join us for a fun, informative, and interactive workshop to learn how to ride a bicycle safely in Toronto. You’ll gain knowledge on:

There will be hands-on demonstrations, audio/video, and Q&A’s.
If you have tried to cross the Lower Don Trail from east to west by bike or on foot you know the challenges. This workshop will highlight work underway to improve connections and it will identify additional priority improvements. Open to all.

This Toronto Bike Month, become empowered to fix your bike yourself! In this hands-on workshop, learn to change a flat, basic bike maintenance, and to tune-up your bike so it rides well. And learn what Judaism says about biking. And take home a bike multi-tool and set of tire levers ($16 value). Bring your bike, 2 rags, and a drop-cloth (if you have one). You love your bike; now learn how to get your bike to love you back!
Bixi Toronto is offering a free one-day Urban Cycling Course for Bixi riders. The course is based on CAN-BIKE's Commuter Cycling Skills course, for novice and experienced cyclists who would like to improve their competence and comfort level in downtown traffic.
A certified bike helmet is required.
Bixi Toronto will arrange for participants to use a Bixi bike for the day if needed.
Come to the second TCU22 cycling consultation workshop! Our workshop last year was a huge success, and with your input we identified the major issues affecting cyclists in our ward.
This year we will discuss solutions the specific issues identified over the past year, including:
Beltline trail crossings on major roads like Avenue and Oriole Parkway
Crossing the St. Clair streetcar right-of-way at Poplar Plains
The dangerous twin intersections of Davenport, Boulton, MacPherson, Poplar Plains and Dupont
Learn about basic bike maintenance from oiling a chain to fixing a flat
and adjusting brakes. Instruction on bike safety and security, free bike
maps and a big display of our books on bike repair that you can borrow.
Classes and drop-in clinics open to all.
