Terry Fox Run at Upper Canada College
This year is the 30th anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope. Our efforts and the efforts of researchers have been rewarded. The Canadian Cancer Society reports that 62% of people diagnosed with cancer survive their disease. In the 1960’s, the survival rate was 1 in 3.
Our event is a“fun” walk, ride, skate and run event. In fact we believe the Upper Canada College run route is the most bike and skate friendly in Toronto. We look forward to you, your family and friends joining us for the “run”, picnic, kids play area and live music. Here is our agenda:
• 8:00 am - Registration opens
• 8:45 am - Aerobic warm-up
• 9:10 am - Official run start
• 9:30 am - Live music, kids fun area opens
• 10:15 am - Picnic begins
Please create an online pledge page for yourself, your family or your team at www.terryfox.org – click The Terry Fox National Run to begin. You can download a pledge sheet for printing at the same link (or give us a call to send you one).
Our efforts to go green last year were very successful, so remember to bring your refillable water bottles again this year. We will also continue to have bio-degradable cups at water stations.
